I leaped at Bethesda's recent GOG releases of Wolfenstein and The Evil Within, and I would do the same for DOOM (2016) and DOOM Eternal in a heartbeat. I doubt I could do either with Bethesda's client. For now, I'll wait for a sale on Steam where I can at least back up the game data and use the Switch Pro Controller to play. I would have bought DOOM Eternal physical day one, but was instantly put off by the forced use of Bethesda's client, and second, if I was going to pay AU$300+ for a limited edition, they can at least include the game on a Blu-ray or two.
